Sept Perk - Arthritis Relief for Your Dog
Discover Proven Holistic Strategies to Safely Manage Your Dog’s Pain and Enhance Their Quality of Life
I want to share a story about a pivotal moment in my life with Norman, my first dog who truly changed everything for me. His battle with arthritis and liver disease opened my eyes to the amazing benefits of a holistic approach to health. This journey not only saved Norman but also improved the well-being of all my dogs over the past 20 years. The guilt I felt after unknowingly giving Norman Rimadyl, which harmed his liver, made me promise to always research any medication before giving it to my dogs.
This ebook is an update on everything I’ve learned about safely treating pain, and I’m excited to share it with you as this month’s Pawtastic Perk!
For those new to Canine Care Collective, Pawtastic Perks are exclusive content that others are paying for, either as my one-on-one clients or through a product.
This month, I’m thrilled to share my new ebook, Hope for Healing: Arthritis Relief for Dogs with Liver Disease."
What You’ll Find Inside
If you've read "Hope for Healing Liver Disease in Your Dog," you'll remember my sweet Norman and his arthritis struggles. Since so many have asked about treating arthritis in dogs with liver disease, I wrote this book to help!
In the book, I share Norman's journey and how we managed his arthritis pain while keeping his liver healthy. We tried everything from Adequan injections and acupuncture to homeopathic remedies and natural supplements. I also changed his diet and made sure he was comfy. It took some trial and error, but we found a combo that worked wonders for Norman. He was happier, more comfortable, and had more energy to enjoy life.
I go into detail about each treatment we tried, explaining how they work and their potential risks and benefits. I also discuss recognizing the signs of arthritis pain in dogs, so you can adjust your treatment plan as needed.
There's even a section on all the new treatments I've found since I wrote my first book twenty years ago! I'm particularly excited about cold laser therapy, physiotherapy, and PEMF therapy. These are all non-invasive options that can help reduce pain and inflammation.
One thing I do want to warn you about is a new drug called Librela. It's a monoclonal antibody treatment that has shown some promise in reducing arthritis pain, but it's also been linked to some serious side effects. Since it's so new, we don't know the long-term effects yet. I recommend doing your research and talking to your vet before considering Librela for your dog.
I hope this book provides helpful insights and practical tips for managing arthritis whether your dog has liver disease or not. Dealing with these health issues can be tough, but with the right approach, you can make a big difference in your dog's quality of life.
